Quality Control Inspector

Reports To: Quality Supervisor / Quality Manager

Location: Addison, TX

The job includes use of a variety of electrical test equipment. Including, but not limited to: visual, mechanical and electrical inspection/testing of products as defined by instructions, specifications and prints.

Responsible for daily testing and inspection activities of electrical high voltage products in Quality department as assigned. Assisting other areas as assigned. Performing incoming, in-process, 1st article and final inspection and or problem solving. Ability to record accurate and clear records during inspections and support new product introduction with engineering. Interacts with production and engineering people on an as needed basis. As well as interacting with all departments to assure product is correct and on schedule. Recommend acceptance or rejection of products not meeting stated requirements. Ability to review data such as manufacturing work instructions, data sheets, drawings etc. for accuracy to product and quality systems requirement. Must be able to make sound decisions in relation to work responsibilities. Additional duties as assigned.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Proficient in English: reading, writing, speaking.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to read Blue prints
  • Preferably 2-10 years’ experience in manufacturing environment using standard measuring and testing equipment.
  • Good mathematical aptitude, reasoning ability, good communication and organizational skills a must.
Job typically includes sitting and standing. Lifting ability normally up to 25.
