Dean Technology today announced that its President, Craig Dean received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2007 Award in the Manufacturing and Engineering Services category in New Jersey. The Ernst & Young, award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic, growing businesses. An independent panel of judges selected Craig Dean and the award was presented at an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year gala event at the Glenpointe Marriott in Teaneck, New Jersey, on Thursday, June 21, 2007.

Dean Technology today announced that it’s President, Craig Dean received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2007 Award in the Manufacturing and Engineering Services category in New Jersey. The Ernst & Young, award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic, growing businesses. An independent panel of judges selected Craig Dean and the award was presented at an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year gala event at the Glenpointe Marriott in Teaneck, New Jersey, on Thursday, June 21, 2007.

“It is truly an unexpected honor to be selected for this award,” said Craig Dean, who joined Dean Technology in 1997 as the 17th employee and has, through his efforts, grown the organization to include locations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Anshan China, with approximately 300 employees internationally.
This is the 21st year for The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year awards program and it continues to honor entrepreneurs who have demonstrated excellence in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

“Ernst & Young is honored to recognize extraordinary business leaders, such as Craig Dean and the companies they have built,” said Keith Brownlie, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year program director for New Jersey program.

As a New Jersey award winner, Craig Dean will now be considered for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2007 national program. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California on November 17, 2007. The national Entrepreneur Of The Year celebration is part of Ernst & Young’s Strategic Growth Forum. The overall national Entrepreneur Of The Year award recipient is then considered for the world event held in Monte Carlo.
