Dean Technology, Inc., the parent corporation of HV Components Associates, CKE and ASL has acquired the business and assets of High Voltage Power Systems (HVPSI) of Carrollton, TX. HVPSI was formerly the manufacturing division of Collmer Semiconductor Inc., the Fuji Electric distributor for North America. With the acquisition of HVPSI, Dean Technology, Inc. is able to offer customers the most cost-effective and functional solutions for unique high voltage/high current requirements. Superior capabilities are achieved through the total integration of their services and products and by utilizing the combined strengths of their highly experienced and knowledgeable engineering staffs

Dean Technology, Inc., the parent corporation of HV Component Associates, CKE and ASL has acquired the business and assets of High Voltage Power Systems Inc. (HVPSI) of Carrollton, TX. HVPSI was formerly the manufacturing division of Collmer Semiconductor Inc. This acquisition unites key high voltage engineering and manufacturing personnel with a combined total of over 300 years of high voltage experience.

HVPSI was a 26 year old manufacturer of high voltage power supplies (3kV to 150kV), high voltage multipliers, diode/rectifier assemblies, surge arresters/suppressors, test equipment and custom packaging encapsulation. Dean Technology will operate the business under the name of High Voltage Power Solutions, Inc. to reflect the more global approach to the company.

The high voltage power supply, test equipment and some specialty assemblies will remain in Carrollton. Some of the multipliers, diode/rectifier assemblies and surge suppression products will be transferred to the main facility in New Jersey.

HVCA specializes in the design, development and manufacture of high voltage rectifiers, bridge rectifiers and special assemblies for specific customer applications. CKE, a manufacturer of high voltage/high power silicon rectifiers, MOVs, selenium suppressors, silicon carbide varistors, high voltage disk ceramic capacitors, high current/high voltage assemblies and custom assemblies for unique requirements, is located in Lucernemines, PA. The ASL diode diffusion facility, located in Liaoning, China, specializes in our High Voltage Diodes.

The combination of the four divisions, HV Component Associates (HVCA), CKE, ASL and High Voltage Power Solutions Inc. (HVPSI) will provide customers requiring high voltage/high current products with a totally integrated, experienced solution. The four divisions have over 250 employees worldwide.
